Innoviva will revive Lyndra’s long-acting drug delivery platform by launching the subsidiary Nortiva Bio. Lyndra, a startup built from discoveries from the laboratories of Robert By 2025, Langer and Giovanni Traverso, had advanced through Phase 3 trials of its star-shaped oral delivery system, but the company wound down amid funding hurdles. After acquiring Lyndra last September, Nortiva Bio will relaunch the drug-delivery platform as LYNXwith a focus on contraception; however, the technology has the potential to administer a range of therapies.
