In the spring of 2016, the Koch Institute marked the fifth anniversary of the dedication of Building 76, and of bringing together scientists and engineers under one roof, with one mission. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Koch Institute researchers talked candidly, on film, about five extraordinary years of convergence and collaboration undertaken with the goal of understanding the whys and hows of cancer, in order to diagnose it earlier, treat it more effectively, and ideally prevent it altogether. As a result of everyone's commitment and passion, the Koch Institute is now an internationally recognized leader in cancer research, which is no small feat in such a short amount of time. Moreover, our work is already moving out into the world—via the clinic, the marketplace, and the new laboratories started by former trainees—and having an impact for patients and families. Be sure to watch all the way to the end, to catch the special and heartfelt thank you to our donors, friends and partners, the individuals and organizations without whom our work would not be possible. Whether you have been with us from the beginning, have joined along the way, or are just getting to know us, you are an integral part of our community—we look forward to the next five years (and beyond) together!
