The MIT Koch Institute Gallery celebrates our scientific research by using art to tell the story behind the science. The gallery permanently displays the annual Image Award winners' extraordinary visuals that are produced through life sciences and biomedical research at MIT. The Koch Institute scientists/artists will be available to tell you more about their ground-breaking science and their passion for visual art.

You will also have the opportunity to view Multiplicities: An Artistic Exploration of Racial Disparities in Cancer Outcomes, which will debut on September 28 and show through Dec. 8, 2023. This multimedia exhibit opens the discussion to factors such as racial disparities that can affect cancer treatment and patient well-being. The exhibit brings a holistic view to understanding not only the diagnosis but also the individual and the community behind them.

Art at Night will include Nucarta’s Art & Cancer Equity Vendor Market, a cross-industry networking space for organizations who are leading community-centric efforts to eliminate racial health disparities and/or accelerating cultural transformation in the arts for Black, Brown and minority folk. This event is free and open to the public, serving as a unique opportunity for community members to learn more about how we can take action today to improve our current state of health and wellness.
